Grinding technology has come a long way! In the past, you needed a machinist with many years of experience that could listen and feel the grinding process. Today grinding machines have sensors that monitor the process and make adjustments. The machine can recommend a grinding wheel and specific feeds and speeds for your application. Our machines produce production parts with closer tolerances in a stable automated process.
Tremendous gains have been made in grinding wheel technology, and our machines are designed to work with the new requirements. Grater machine stiffness and vibration dampening are needed to take advantage of the new high-performance wheels. New Super Abrasives can be extremely expensive. Proper wheel dressing will maintain the form and sharpness and produce higher material removal rates and lower per piece tooling cost.
